You're asking about a urine test for alcohol, ETG, if I'm correct.

ETGs detect alcohol in the urine for 80 hours. And no, just because you are now sober does not mean the metabolites (broken down particles of ethanol) will flush out of your system.

No it is not a EtG its just a ua that also tests for drugs- so what do you think?

So... it's just a drug test? Can you please be clear what the UA is testing for, is it just drugs or is it drugs and alcohol?

Sorry for the confusion, it is just a UA, but I was told that alcohol can also show up in the UA test as well, but it is not the ETG, so do you think I have a chance this way?

A basic urine drug testing does detect ethanol, but only for a short amount of time. However, since you drank 9 drinks not even 24 hours ago, yeah, there's a chance that it'll detect it.

As far as what they're screening for, that's entirely up to them. If they decide to screen for ethanol, then chances are, yeah, it'll show up.

I'm praying you don't drink anymore with an impending drug test. I also hope that you're over the legal age limit of drinking.

Also would it make a differnce that those 9 drinks were threw out the day and not all in one siiting?

"also would it make a differnce that those 9 drinks were threw out the day and not all in one siiting?"

That does make a difference. Alcohol (ethanol) is metabolized at the rate of about .015 while it is absorbed at approximately the same rate. As example, an hour after drinking one standard drink then drinking another the first will no longer be in your blood. It will have been metabolized. The pace at which you consume alcohol is very relevant. Drinking one drink every hour will keep your BAC at about .02. Females have a slightly different metabolic rate. The alcohol is absorbed more rapidly, resulting in a slightly higher BAC but is metabolized more rapidly (about 9%) So overall, on average females process and eliminate alcohol slightly faster than males.

Even if you drank 9 drinks (standard) within an hour raising your BAC to (.19) you should completely eliminate the alcohol within a 15 hr period. That's reducing the elimination rate to .013 and maximizing the BAC gain-per drink at .023.

Spacing the drinks across a longer period would greatly reduce the amount of alcohol in your system at the time of the last drink and therefore the amount of time required for eliminating the remaining ethanol.

Ethanol is quickly eliminated from your system. However, as Sneeze noted above, EtG has a longer detection window and would probably be present.

I think you will be negative for Ethanol with room to spare.

Please let us know how it turns out.

If you know you have a urine test coming up and you drink please accept help. Please. If you do it when you know you are having a test maybe you really do need the help. Don't be afraid they are there to help you. No judgement. You are no alone.
