You have a older furnace with a heat-off-cool switch mounted on the face of a box that contains relays and a transformer. The cooling switch over relay is causing a problem in that it is operating intermittently.

A word of caution. Most HVAC contractors who are not familiar with the furnace you have along with the 2 wire thermostat switch over system can have a very difficult time making the repair since there are usually more than one relay in the box. I suggest you contact a qualified mobile home repair person to fix your furnace system but if you must have at it as a do it yourselfer then I am going to post a link to a mobile home service site that can be of further assistance. Post your question along with my recommendation to use there site. Post your exact model number in your post. There is NO charge for there service and they will have the relay you can buy if you need to replace it. Having the relay is also a benefit for you since they can be hard to come by for a do it yourselfer. See link below and post back with your results.

Register and post under Coleman repair.

Below is a Example ONLY of what is contained in the box besides the switch.

Sounds like a bad contractor to me. Sometimes the contacts can get dirty or burned up. Cycling it may make it get a proper connection. I have also seen mice or spiders making nests there
