Unprotected sex 7 days before period was due and still got period? Pregnant or not?
Okay so me and my boyfriend had sex for the second time, it was 7 days before my period was due, condom split but he pulled out as soon as it did because he felt it split.. I was worried about it all week and then exactly 7 days after I got my normal period an it lasted the normal amount of time as usual (5/6 days).. Is pregnancy out of the question? Please help, much appreciated. Rosanna.

Yes its still possible your preganant. You won't know for sure until your next period or you can take a home test in about two weeks

I would say highly unlikely but not entirely impossible. At this point, unless you miss your next period and then get a positive result on a hpt, I would think that you are not pregnant. If he pulled out as soon as the condom split and did not finish inside you then the chances of you becoming pregnant are very, very unlikely. Also, the fact that you did get your period a week later makes it even more unlikely that you are pregnant.

Have you considered hormonal birth control? Condoms are important and should be used at all times whether you are on hormonal because. But as you saw for yourself, they can break. Hormonal because could give you some peace of mind if this were to happen to you again as well as add a little extra protection, although abstinence is the only 100% effective method.

I'm curious what home pregnancy test you're referring to. First response claims to be accurate up to 5 days before a missed period but even then its recommended that you retest a few days later because its not usually accurate to test that early.

Every time you have sex there is always some chance of pregnancy. But getting your period is usually a good sign that you are not pregnant. Key word there is usually, not always. Some women have reported still getting their period (or at least what appears to be a period) during pregnancy.

You'd have to talk to your dr about because. A number of women are able to take because and antidepressants but your dr would have to help you figure out what's best for you.

Right so I got my period on time this month, I've had two periods since it happened and I've still had normal period symptoms like tiredness, sore breasts and those horrible period pains, no real "pregnancy symptoms".. do you think I'm in the clear?

If I were in your shoes, I would think I was not pregnant. But if you have any doubts, you should go in and see your dr. no one online can tell you for sure over the internet. Your dr could tell you for sure.

Have you talked to your dr about birth control? I hope it doesn't seem like I'm pushing it on you but since you asked more about it before I got the impression you were interested. Your dr would most likely do a pregnancy test and maybe even an exam before prescribing it to you, especially if you expressed your concern for possibly being pregnant.

Yeah I've talked to my mum about getting on because because my sister did at the same age as me, my friends have told me its also good for really bad period pains.. I have dreadful period pains and I've tried everything to get rid of them or ease them and it doesn't work.. would it help? Thank you!

it helped me and it has helped a lot of other women as well. Every woman is different, and every pill is different. But if you and your mom are on the same page about it, I say try it. Just remember that you should still use condoms to protect from stds, to always take your pill at the same time every single day (try not to ever miss a day or take it at random times everyday), and that while the pill is known for being highly effective-abstinence is the only 100% effective way to prevent pregnancy.

liltinke2... please check the dates for the posts you are wanting to respond to.

Also, please use proper language. There are people who come to this site who do not speak English as a first language, and using slang terms can not only be rude, but also difficult to understand.
