This is a bit confusing. The first part that's confusing is that you had your tubes tied 17 years ago, yet you're still young enough to become pregnant. I've never heard of a doctor that will do a tubal on a young patient, not unless there are health concerns to warrant it.

Second confusion is that you've had 10 pregnancies since the tubal. Obviously the tubal didn't work, so I have to ask why you didn't go back and have it checked. One oops may be explainable, but 10?

As for your current problem, a week late isn't as late as you think. It could very well be too early to test. The majority of women don't get a positive pregnancy result until they're well into their 2nd month of pregnancy. Some women never get a positive from a home pregnancy test, mainly due to human error.

Wait until your next period is due. If you don't start that period then try testing again. Make sure to follow the pregnancy test instructions exactly. Human error is the main reason for a false negative.

If you don't wish to wait then you could get the more accurate blood test, but even then, a false negative is possible, and it could be too early to test.

This entire thing baffles me. If you had your tubes tied this shouldn't even be an issue. That's the whole reason for having your tubes tied to begin with.

I wish you all the best.
