How to tell parents your pregnant
hi, I'm 16 years old and I took a home pregnancy test and it came positive and I took three more and they were all the same. I don't know how I can tell my mom this and I don't know if I should give it up for adoption my boyfriend justin is 17 and he know about this and he don't know what to do. We would both love if we could get some help we think I'm pretty fair along like 1 1/2 months I thought I was sick the whole time and then my boyfriend told me to take a hpt, my boobs have been really sore lately. Then I went to the doctors and he said I was but I really don't know how to tell my mom and dad. I don't know how they will react to it my boyfriend said he will be there when I tell them but I don't know how to and I would really like if you could help anybody! :o

Sit them down and explain to them what happened and that you are pregnant. I'm not going to lie, they will be made, and say things and be disappointed but they will still be there for you in the end.

Sorry but there's no 'easy' way to tell them. Be prepared that they will be upset/disappointed at first. Once they get over the initial shock, you all can sit down and talk it through to find out what the best option for you will be.

Whatever you do, don't keep it from them. That way you can get the medical care you need.

Let us know how it goes.

Tell them with your boyfriend or tell your gudience counselor in school so he or she can help you tell your parents because you need to start your paternal care.

If you do decide to put your baby up for adoption you have time to look around and make a decision.

Your parents might be upset at first but I am should they will help you decide and be there for you.

First I would talk to your parents.

Weigh all of your options, at 16, it is in your best interest to try and stay unattached until you have discussed the situation with your parents, boyfriend and decided what option you choose.

Teenage parenthood is a difficult choice, so think things through before choosing names.

First, again start getting paternal care.

Secondly, counseling will help you sort things out.

Thirdly, if your considering adoption start looking into adoption agencies. There are many options nowadays when someone is considering adoption. You can have an open adoption and you will still be in touch with the child but there are guidelines.

Forthly, if you decide to keep the baby weight the pros and cons because babies are expensive and time consuming. Your youth ends while parenting begins. You won't be able to do of things as your peers and your going have to do a lot of compromising.

Do you plan on staying in school? If so, start looking into schools for pregnant teens because of them have child care while your in class but their can be a waiting list and the baby have to be a certain age (most schools are 3months+). If not, who is going babysit the baby?

Are you going work because your going need money for clothes, pampers, etc. Also, it is good if the father is in involve but don't count on it because some leave. But if he is going be involve is he working?

Lastly, start looking into parenting classes because your going need it. Babies are hard work and don't comes with a manual and you need a lot of patience.
