Is it all over the house or in one bathroom only ? What kind/type of hot water heater do you have ? Tankless ? Electric ? Gas ?

Hot water starts at Hot Water heater. Go to your hot water heater and make sure water heater valve is in open position.

    Back to you... Milo

It is all over the house. Only hot water- the water that does come out is Extremely hot. The water will come out for a second and then start to spit and then stop altogether. It is a gas hot water tank. The valve appears open. Also my neighbor is having the same problem. And no it isn't cold here, and hasn't been yet.

    Thanks Milo!

Are you and your neighbor sharing the same water heater?

Nope we have separate water heaters. The faucets are better now- still spiting but much better. The neighbor said his are fine. Maybe just air in the pipes? If they aren't all better by tomorrow I think I might call a plumber. Thanks for your help Milo and John.

Try to turn on the faucets for a few minutes if there is air it will clear, Thanks.
