    Bathroom sink
Please help! We replaced a bathroom sink faucet because just a trickle of water was coming out of hot and cold. When we were finished the water came out beautifully. But only for a few minutes! Now we have a new sink faucet and only a trickle. What can be wrong if it worked right for a short while? Thank you so much.

Remove the aereator. Is the screen clogged with junk? Run the water for a good while with the aereator off. You may have crud in your line.

If that doesn't work, take it apart. Shut off the water. If that means shutting off the inlet to the hot water tank, don't leave it that way without shutting the gas or electricity off and leaving a hot water tap open. Pry of the cap with the ''H'' on it, remove the screw, and then the knob. That should reveal a nut. Remove it, and you should be able to pull the insides out. A second person then works well, one holding a towel over the faucet, while the other gives a quick shot of the water being back on.
