    Clogged shower body
I have a shower faucet problem that is driving me crazy. It's a 25 year old Gerber two handle faucet... very basic. The problem is that the hot works but the cold is clogged in the body, so cold water doesn't come through. Here's what I've tried. (1) after taking out the cold water stem assembly and removing the shower head, I used 100 psi air pressure from the shower head back to the faucet body. Nothing went through. (2) after taking out the cold water stem assembly and capping the shower head end, I turned on the hot water so it could only come out the cold stem opening. Nothing went through. (3) after taking out the cold water stem assembly and removing the shower head I used a thin (3/16") flexible snake to snake down from the shower head into the body. It never made it out the cold water stem side. (4) I took out both the cold and hot water stem assemblies and used the same snaking tool to go from side to side. I couldn't get it through. Do you have any suggestions? I'm at a loss for fresh ideas.

Could you poke a pointy rod through the cold water seat? Something's blocking the CW seat. You must go in through the cold water seat to find oiut what. Good luck, tom

This may not work but remove the cold stem and seat and close the shower curtain and flush out the cold side by turning the water on to verify that you actually have cold water up to the faucet. Close the tub drain so you can catch whatever comes out. You may have to have 2 people, one to turn it on and one to hold a sleeve to keep the water from going into the wall.
