    Remove Kohler K-15160 Kitchen Faucet
I can't get this faucet off my sink. I've removed the two screws that hold the brass colored ring in place underneath. However, that ring will not come off even when I try to pry it off and it will not turn in either direction. From the top I'm unable to pull the faucet off even though it will turn easily. I'm attaching a picture of the ring. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Noles...

To start, cut the hoses/piping out of there using a pair of tin snips.

Then, put the bolts back into the brass washer/nut until the bolts make contact with the countertop and then back them off a turn.

Next, grab one of the bolts with a pair of pliers and take a hammer and smack the pliers in the direction needed to loosen the brass washer/nut. Someone should hold the faucet up top while you do this. You could also hold the bolt with the pliers while the person up top tries to spin the faucet.

If all that fails to work then you can use a dremel tool and some safety goggles and cut through the brass washer... make two cuts across the bolt holes and the washer will fall off... ;)

Let me know how you make out, OK?

    Hello Noles,

Mark gave you excellent advices I will also suggest to apply some WD-40 let it soaked for a few hours and try, make sure you have you have safety goggles on when you apply the WD-40, good luck.
