    Cracked toilet cover
My son crackd the cover to the toilet. Is there a glue that will connect to two pieces together? It's basically broke in half. It's the cover that fits over the tank. Looks to be clay-like or 'ceramic'? (sp).

You can look at a place like Menards or Home Depot or Lowe's for ceramic glue. Explain what you need it for. At one time I did have to do that and later replaced the tank lid altogether.

I never suggest repairing a broken lid. Either replace it or replace the tank. A broken lid that you continue to use is an accident waiting to happen.

Most plumbing shops keep a "bone yard" of old stuff like tank lids handy. Start checking around to the local shops. When you call have the brand name of the toilet and the tank size. Regular or 1.6 gallons. Good luck, Tom
