    Shower head stem
I want to replace the shower head and the shower head stem in my shower. The head unscrews very easily. I cannot remove the shower head stem though. THere is an opening in the tile big enough around the pipe too see inside. Is there some sort of trick to unscrewing the stem? Would it be soldered on? Any suggestions?

    Hello,

That stem is usurally threaded on inside the wall. Most of the time I would leave it alone. Why not just replace the shower head?

My wife is changing the color of all of the fixtures in the bathroom... the shiny bronze color does not match her new polished nickel
