    No water coming out of shower head
    Just recently bought a house... installed a new shower head in the master bath. Shower head made whistling noises for about a week whenever I used it. Then got into the shower this morning, turned on the tub, water was fine, turned the diverter knob, and suddenly heard pipes rattling in the wall, and then no water came out of the shower. Took off the shower head, still nothing.

    Tub has a 3 knob system, the hot knob, cold knob, and diverter. I am hoping that the diverter is just bad. Any ideas on where to begin with this one?

    Couple of Good Plumbers on this site, I am not a Plumber, until then I would try turning off your water supply, remove shower head, turn faucets on(no water will come out as it is off), then blow through shower pipe to hopefully dislodge any debris.

    That would be my guess. Sounds like a washer broke or some trash has blocked the seat. Turn the water off tom the valve and open the diverter up,(see image) Check and replace any washers that look bad.
    Now, while the valve's open, turn the water on to flush out the supplies. Reassemble and test. Work better now? Good luck, Tom

    Yesterday I was trying to fix my drain stopper lever. I just went to Lowe's and apparently there is a diverter valve behind the drain stopper that I guess I knocked loose or something. The part I need costs $8 bucks, and it shouldn't involve me taking off the knobs or anything.
