When I run water in the kitchen a small puddle of water forms in the basement in 2 places. One place has formed a small hole in the basement slab, the other is a small crack. The hole is wet/muddy. I had a plumber auger out the drain line (which goes under the concrete slab) about 9 months ago. He fixed the clog. When asked about the hole that had formed, he expresed no concern at all. Now the formation of water has returned which tells me that the clog has returned also (small amount of water in the basement forms occurs only when the kitchen facet is running). Tomorrow I am buying a mototrized auger and I will chase the line to unclog it. My real concern is the possibility that I have a drain line leak under the slab, and the effect that may have on the foundation. The house was built in 1938. Any advice?
