Low water pressure in bathtub/shower hot or cold
My shower/bathtub has no water pressure. It does not matter if you turn the cold or the hot water on. The rest of the house is not having any problems with water pressure just this particular bathtub/shower.

I tried removing the water spout to see if anything was stopping it up, but it won't come off. I believe it's made by American Standard or at least that's what the fixture plate has written.

Can any one tell me how I should proceed to figure out why I'm getting no water pressure?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This might not look exactly like your faucet but if you have a 2 or 3 handle tub/shower valve they are all pretty much the same. Shut off the water and remove the stem and washer assemblies. Once out turn the water back on to flush out t6he supplies. Let me know if you have a strong stream. Regards, tom

    Hi speedball,

My faucet in the shower only has one handle that you either push left or right for cold or hot water. I can't seem to figure out how to get it off. I tried the "american standard" site but no help found.

Any suggestions on how to get it off?

I'm sorry. I need more then that. A model number would be nice. A picture of the handle would be nicer. Cheers, Tom

It's an older model I haven't been able to locate the same model on their site. But I'll keep trying to locate.

Thanks for the help so far.

Take a peek at this. If this looks like your handle then there's a set screw on the bottom of the handle. Regards. Tom

Yeah, it looks kind of like that. I will check for the screw and get back with you and let you know what happens.

    Thanks again,

I tried this with my problem... and I get very hard hot pressure... so does that mean I need a new faucet?
