No hot water in bath tub
I have a single knob on my bath tub that controls the hot and cold water. When you rotate the knob a half way it is cold water and a full way it is hot water. The cold water comes out, but the hot water does not, just a drizzle. I removed the faucet and found there is one pipe coming out of the wall and connects to the faucet. When I rotate the knob to control hot or cold water, this pipe rotates. Inside the wall connects to this pipe are a cross-shape pipe. The upward probably goes to the shower head. I wonder if the leftward and rightward are the sources for hot and cold water. Since there is no hot water and only cold water, does it mean the pipe for the hot wafer side is clogged? Do I have to break the wall to check the pipes? Please help! :(

(p.s. it is a house I just bought and I never used that bath tub before)

If you have hot water in all other places it might be something in the faucet to the tub, if I were you I would turn off all of the water to the house and take the tub faucet apart and see if there is something is it that does not let the water come through the hot water side. The pipe in the wall that is on the left side is suppose to be the one that carries the hot water. Good luck and if you need more info just add to this post.

Thanks for your answer. I took the faucet apart and there was water coming out of the pipe when I turned cold wafer but only little water came out of the pipe when I turned to hot water. I can not see into the pipe to check if there is something blocks the hot water. Please help me.

Thanks for your answer. I took the faucet apart and there was water coming out the pipe when I turned to cold water but only little comes out from the same pipe when I turned to hot water. I could not see into the pipe to check if there is something blocks the hot water side because it is inside the wall. Please help me... :(

I don't know what kind of faucet you have but I don't think you got it completely apart. When you have it apart far enough you should be able to see two holes in the faucet body, one that is hot water and one that is cold water.
Where did you shut off the main water? Is there someone there that could help you? If so when you get the faucet apart, you need to hold a pan or large cup over the front of the faucet while the other person turns on the water for just about three seconds. Hopefully this will wash out any obstruction that is in the pipe.

Thanks again for your response. The brand name of my faucet is meon. It has two parts installed on the wall. The upper part is a single knob controller to turn on/off cold/hot water.
Then a separate part underneath is a single output faucet. The faucet is basically a metal cover and what is inside is a single pipe going into the wall. I did not see any two-hole thing. I took the faucet off (what is left on the wall is just one pipe sticking into the wall) without shutting off the water to my house because the controller is off. Then I turned the controller to cold wafer and there was lot of water came out. When I turned the controller to hot water, there was only a drizzle comping out of the pipe. :(

Were you able to resolve this problem? I am in exactly the same situation as you and have done exactly same as you without a solution at this time.

Please let me know if you've resolved it and how.

Moen faucets have a cartridge in them. The cartridge is stopped up. It will have to be removed & replaced with a new one. There is a special tool made for this task. Ask your local hardware store, or call a plumber for advise. If you are able to find a replacement cartridge, it will have instructions with it on how it is removed and replaced. Good luck.

As Let suggested removing the cartridge and cleaning behind it usually fixes the problem. If you are not getting hot water with the cartridge removed, replacing the cartridge won't fix the problem. The problem could be back further in an elbow or something. It could mean ripping into wall.

Perhaps you need to talk to the lawyer that did you closing. The seller is responsible for fixing many defects.
