    Fireplace smoke smell
    Hello

I started a fire in the fireplace and now the whole house smells of fire wood smoke.. the flue was open.. and I didn't see the smoke coming in but noweverything smells, my coats, my furniture even my laptop case...

What can I do to help get rid of the smell... Its like I live in a log cabin...

Sounds like you did not get a good draft going in the chiminey or there was a lot of wind outside that caused a down draft. You can buy room/house deordorizers at the hardware store. Don't buy the ones that just spray perfume, get one that absorbs odors. Ventilate the house by opening windows and doors on all floors. This is going to take time.
