Computer doesn't see Homegroup
There are 3 computers in my home.
1. WIN7, 32bit desktop
2. WIN7, 64bit notebook
3. WIN8, 64bit notebook
#2, doesn't see my home group. In network and sharing center it says I have joined. In libraries, it says "no other homegroup computers are currently available. Even though 1 & 3 are on, connected and working fine. If I look at "network" in the libraries folder all 3 computers are there. The computer connects to the internet and I've noticed no other problem.
Background: This used to work. All three computers could see the others. Then I ran Norton utilities and it screwed my homegroup up. Verified all settings, and everything looked good. I exited the home and set a new one up. Now computers 1 # 3 work, computer 2 still doesn't.
Steps taken.
1.Chatted with Norton tech support. Agent claims their program cannot effect homegroup.
2. Rechecked all settings including Firewall ports. Even disabled firewall to test.
3. Left homegroup on all 3 groups, and creating up a new homegroup. Repeated creating a homegroup on each of the three computers.
4. Tried with a wired and wireless connection.
5. Restored #2 to a point before Norton utilities was installed and I know the homegroup worked.
In spite of the fact that everything looks right, it doesn't work. There is a setting somewhere that is blocking this computer from seeing the others. But I'm at a loss as to what else to check. Any ideas?
Thanks,
