My itunes won't open at all, does anybody know how to get it to open?
I recently got my computer back after having new virus scanns on my computer downloaded.. and I have used itunes since then but last night when I logged out and logged back in this morning, when I click on itunes, all that happens is it has the mouse thing which looks like its loading for a couple of seconds and then just stops?
I have un-installed it, and re-installed it, but till it doesn't work?
I also have tried to open it in several different ways?

Can anybody please help me and tell me what I have to do for itunes to open?

I joined this site hoping for an answer to the same question. My computer is a PC running Vista and uses a wireless router, which I've read a little bit about and could somehow be part of the problem. But I've gotten nowhere beyond this.

I got my itunes working, its actually pretty easy.

well it seems the new itunes 7.5 which I was using hasn't been opening for quite a while.. well I was browsing and found how to fix it.

firstly, un-install itunes 7.5 and quicktime completely from your computer. Then download itunes 7.4 from file hippo and it opens.

mine still says it won't open, although another pop up come up and it says some things are missing, although everything works fine and the only thing that disappeared was my playlists.

    hope this helps. (=

When Downloading the New Version 8 of iTunes I had the same problem.

    Install the iTunes

Find the folder with ITunes in (Not the shortcut on your desktop)

Right Click > Properties > Compatibility > untick all the check boxes > Apply.. and hey presto!!

PS: Also do this for QuickTime too if iTunes doesn't opn

    Dear itard:

You do not need to use itunes to use your iPod, let alone play "music"
