My brother is a 20 yrs old. He is a kidney disease patient. He is advised with medicine course for 3 months and to review afterwards. Though his creatinine level has gone down to 2.1 from 2.7 within a month but his urea has come up to 67mg from 50mg. The medicine he is undergoin are Wysolone 100mg alternate days, Pantocid 40mg once daily before brakefast, Sandocal 500mg twice daily and Losartan 25mg once daily. Since we are staying far away from the hospital and yet 3 month is not completed so is bit difficult for coming back to meet with doctor. In this regard I need help from respected experts/advisor to advice me what measures to be taken to reduce urea level.
What are the diet to be taken or do my brother need any medicine change?
I'll be very much thankful for your advice.
    Thank you.

I have a kidney disease and my levels are urea 4 (mmo/L) and creatinine 70 (umo/l) I have been attending an outpatients clinic for 15 years. I have iga nephropathy/bergers disease. I have just been signed off the hospital as a low risk patient to just visit my GP annually. I feel okay and am 46 years old and not overweight. I take a small tablet 2.5mg lisinopril per day. My blood pressure is on the high side of normal but they are not overly worried.

Not sure if this helps ease your fears.
