Elevated ALT and GGT (Liver Tests)
My husband was required to undergo Liver Function Tests, full blood count and Hep Antibody tests.

Everything came back OK but there was a rise in his ALT and GGT levels. ALT was at 67 and GGT was at 94.

    My questions are:

    1. Is this treatable? What can he take or do to normalise the levels?
    2. How serious is this?

I am worried and I need to know what to do next. By the way, I am asking you this question from the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific.

Is your husband on any medications? Even over counter. If so please state which ones and how often they are taken.

Was there any other tests were abnormal or are these the only one.

It sounds like blocked liver ducts and I just researched it myself. I am just curious is there any other conditions he may have, is there any amounts of drinking alcohol or medication use. These can have an effect on the readings for the liver.
