    I throw like a girl
It's embarrassing... I'm a 20 year old male and apparently I have the throwing action of a girl.

I used to play cricket when I was in primary school, in high school once a group of people made fun of me during sport because they said I throw like a girl... I never knew! All through high school I avoided all instances of throwing (and sport in general, no good at it :( ) but moving into my adult years I figure I need to do something about it... I don't want to dread summer because I'm too embarrssed of joining in with my mates games.

I've altered my throwing action but I don't know if it looks right... What can I do, if anything? Can someone tell me the proper action and perhaps tell me how I can train toward it being perfected?

It's always a bit trickier to learn these things when you're older. Its so humiliating but if I never learned I never learned...

Some people are good at things and some people are not good at things. Why not try to focus on the things you are good at and leave the other stuff alone?

I just don't think I can avoid having to throw my whole life... Its not just sports, if I'm chucking something across the office I don't want to look like a tool...

I've accepted I'll never be any good at sports... I just wish I could get this right...

Not having the best throwing arm is nothing to be ashamed of. But perhaps you should check your form. Don't just use your arm to through the ball; use your whole body.

I just don't know how I'd be able to fix this... Its summer and I want to go out but I can't embarrass myself... I need to get this fixed, real men can throw :(

Suck it up. Real men can except their weaknesses. Instead of whinning and crying and going on about it. Except it and move on. Your not a real man if you can't get past something so trivial.

There is more to a man then how he can throw. Until you realise that you will never be a real man.

    Just my opinion.

If this is a true problem you're facing, then I suggest not to hang out with the people who are making fun of you. Real friends will not tease to the point of humiliation over and over again and it sounds like you need to surround yourself with a different group.
While in the office, instead of throwing your trash across the room, politely walk over to the garbage can and simply drop it inside.
As I sit here typing this... I'm trying to think of how many things I "throw" on a daily, weekly, monthly basis... and I can't recall a single thing. Throwing can simply be avoided by carrying the object to it's next destination.
As far as playing sports goes, find a team that kicks the ball.

Kids are cruel, yet they are very observant. Kids look for anything and anything and everything to tease others about because they think it makes them look "cool". You're an adult now, and I highly doubt your friends will notice something like that and give you a hard time about it. If they do, then they are insecure about themselves.

And hey, if they do end up noticing, and they aren't as mature as I'd hoped... you can always tell them the story about how you hurt your arm rescuing that hot chick from the 10th story of a burning building! ;)
