    Jobs for ex-cons
My husband will be getting out of prison soon and I'm worried about him being able to get a job with his record. Does anyone know any friendly ex-con employers out there? Or any way to go about finding jobs for ex-cons. He's a very experienced electrician but I'm sure he'd be willing to do almost anything.

My son will be getting out of jail in August and I am worried that he, too, will have trouble finding a job. I will be interested in any answers anyone has for you. Sorry to say I don't have any answers yet. One guess would be construction. Jellybeans

No one will hire him. Take my word for it. I've never been to the "pin", but I cannot get a job, even with my BA in MIS (Management Information Systems). Do you know that I even had a background check done on me by Taco Bueno for a crew position? In case you don't know, that is a fast food restaurant. Tell your son to start his own business... if he can afford it.

I will say it is getting tougher, after my last company went out of busienss early this year, I was 3 months finding another job, and it paid 1/2 of what my last job paid. But it was still a couple dollars more a hour than most people in my area make. I have now finally found one that will pay me my old wages, but it was tough.
