-Do trucking companies still send people to CDL school and pay for it?-
I want to get my foot in the door as an OTR driver but I want a guarantee that a job will be there when I get my CDL. I'm looking for a list of trucking companies that still send non-licensed people to CDL school. I know some companies used to do this if you sign a 1 year contract to drive for them. Working for a company for a year after schooling seems like a good way to get the 1 year experience most OTR trucking jobs require.

I have had NO luck finding companies that offer this type of thing anymore.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    I live in NE Ohio

It does not matter where you live by the way. You will just have to call the larger OTR trucking firms and find out just who does this now. I know at one time Prime, CR England, and several other firms used to offer the go to their school and work for them one year.

You could Google and see if there are any companies that offer that option now.
