How to install pipe from stove suction fan?
I just moved in a new house, and find the stove suction fan has no pipe out! So cooking smoke is always in room.

The kitchen is far from outside wall, and I don't want to lead a pipe outside directly. So maybe it is possible to connect the suction pipe to the exhaust pipe of furnace?

    Thanks for any suggestion.

    Zyang...

You CANNOT connect any pipes to the furnace exhaust pipe.. OK? The CO (carbon monoxide) from the furnace could flow back into your home and kill you... ;)

Only realistic solution is probably to pipe this into attic and out the roof if possible.

Let me know if you want to discuss this more.

    Thank you Mark.
So it seems leading pipe through attic and out of the roof is the only way. I feel it is possible, because the house is a bungalow, only one floor on ground. No trouble about the roof connection leakage?

Probably a good idea to hire a professional roofer to flash the roof penetration properly... :)

    Good luck!
