    Air ducts in attic
My son used about a 8 foot port of the air duct that runs through the attic to walk on (attic is not floored) and he mashed that section about 50% flat. I am very handy with repairs but I have never tackled this before. How much trouble is it to replace that section of ductwork? Thanks for any help you can offer. I love this web site.

Remove the drives and S hooks slide the duct out. Get new duct slide back in reuse S hooks and drives to reassemble. Now this is for rectangular duct for round remove screws pull apart replace duct and put back together. If this is flex duct just buy a box and replace the entire piece.

Real simple but I would install a work platform of 3/4 plywood before I got started. A light would also be nice so you can see what you are doing.
