    Thermostat Replacement Honeywell 890121 - Hunter 44110
Hi there! Need help to replace an old Honeywell model 890121 with a Hunter 44110

    My existing (Honeywell 890121) wiring:
    Brown - C
    Green - G
    Yellow - Y --jumpered to--W
    Red - R
    White - O

    Hunter 44110:
    G
    RC--jumpered to--RH
    Y
    W

Not sure which one goes to where...

    Thanks!

    The normal wiring would be.

Red wire to the RC RH terminals... this it the power coming from the transformer.

The white wire goes to the W terminal... this is returning the power back to the gas valve.

The Green wire goes to the G terminal... this is returning the power to the blower relay.

The yellow wire goes to the Y terminal... this is returning the power to the condensing unit.

Unless the new thermostat needs 24 volts to operate and it is a battery operated thermostat the brown wire is not needed... it is the other side of the power coming from the transformer.

All of this information depends on how your wires are connected to the terminal strip at the furnace. But they should be connected the same at the terminals there. With one exception, the yellow wire should be connected to the Y terminal with one of the wires going to the condensing unit, the other wire from the condensing unit should be connected to the C terminal, which is the common.
