A tech came out and replaced the expansion valve, and recharged the unit but it is not keeping our house cool during the day, and in the early morning when the temp. is at the set temp. the a/c will not cut off.

Valve was either not the problem to start with, or the unit was not charged properly after the install of the new valve.
