Water is leaking from our discharge tube but we do not have a hot water heater. Is this something I should be concerned about? My wife has shut down the boiler using the emerergency shut-off and refuses to turn it back on. I have flipped the TPR valve and a large amount of water was released and the dripping has stopped but when the pressure gauge reaches 30 psi it starts to drip again. Also the water coming out is hot to the touch.

Do I just need a new TPR valve? Any help would be appreciated since I need to take a hot shower!

Your boiler feed/makeup water line is allowing too much water into the boiler. You probably need a new pressure regulator. WHATEVER you do don't plug the Temp pressure relief valve to stop the leak. If you do it will go BOOM and take your house with it. If in doupt call a pro. Hot water heat is not as simple as a furnace to work on.

Had the a guy come in yesterday. He adjusted our pressure regulator and lowered out hot water heat, it was reading 200. He said our TPR valve is fine and that we will probably will need a bigger expansion tank. Does that sound good?

Sounds good to me.

Even if your tank is big enough when everything is OK, it does sound like at times you need more. A bigger tank, or an additional small one can't be that expensive.
