    Gas wall heater problems
What causes black soot to be emitted from a gas wall heater? The cover at the top is black as well as the walls and ceiling.

Needs cleaning, it is losing air flow somewhere, shut off the gas and the best way is an air hose and some cleaner

 Explorer309, #1 chec the vent that goes up through the roof , it could be plugged up ,btrds and wasps love to build nests in them and vents for the sewer. They make a brush to put on a long stick that cleans the vent pipe out like a fireplace chimmney. Now if it has a lot of suit likec youer saying I would get the GAS co OR a air and heating co to check to see if the flame is burning to high and oxygen setting to high I believe you will find the gas needs to be adjusted. I hope I have helped IF I have rate my answer below :: GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS ::: F.B.E.;) :o :)
