It does not seem to heat as hot as I would like, it sounds like something is grinding down when it cuts off, do I need to oil something? I live in a double wide, the name brand is intertherm.

Loose fan blade

Bad motor bearings or needs lube if possible since most motors can no longer be oiled.

Frost or ice build up on inside of the unit that the fan blade is hitting

Bad fan blade hub (loose)

Those are the normal causes.
