    Duo-Matic Furnace
I'm writing in regard to a problem I'm having with the oil burner on a Duo-Matic of Canada (Model Number CWO 135, Serial Number 07350435, Installed in January 1975).

Within 15 seconds of the burner firing up because of a call for heat the furnace shuts down. I push the red button on the circuit breaker mounted on the furnace (manufactured by White-Rodgers) and the furnace fires up again. The problem with this is that if no one is at home to hit the restart, then the house temperature will continue to drop until the button is pushed again.

Perhaps a related situation – the light bulb within the White-Rodgers part no longer lights up when a malfunction occurs. In addition, when there is a call for heat, it may require pushing the button 4 or 5 times before the oil burner fires up.

I asked White-Rodgers for a part number for this circuit breaker but they advised none exists.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
