    Remove black hair dye questions
    I have dyed my hair black from its original dark brown color.
    I used a demi permanate colorer
    IT LOOKS GOTHIC!
    I need it out;
    And I'm scared that if I put bleach in it will go white!
    Does it?
    And how does this hot oil treatment work, and what does it do?
    Answers are very very veryyy much appreciated!

    As I've mentioned before, demi permanent hair color will produce a longer lasting effect. It usually last 26 shampoos to 28 shampoos, however, if your hair is porous, it may leave a permanent tint on your hair and you may need to have the color chemically stripped. I've recommend using a hair color remover, then re-color your hair with your desired color. Hair color removers may leave your hair brassy, but once you apply your color of choice, your hair will look natural. Another option is to go to the a salon and have to them do a corrective color.

    Long story short. I bleached my hair to the point ware it was falling out and decided to dye it brown. The brown kept on fading because of the bleach. So I decided to dye it black thinking it would fade to a dark brown, which is my natural hair color as well. Black has one of the strongest pigments out of all the hair dyes. But you didn't bleach your hair like I did, so your hair will fade to a brown faster. I don't suggest any "color stripping" my case was extremely severe and I didn't even color strip my hair. If you have never done a hair color remover yourself Don't DO IT! Because if you screw up you could strip the natural color of your hair. I would suggest a professional, but I wouldn't strip your hair anyway, its NEVER healthy to do that to your hair. Hot oil treatments are always good for your hair, use natural oils, use it once or twice a week. Makes your hair healthy shiny, and removes hair dye deposits and what not. And just don't bleach your hair! And I just realized this was from 07 but I spent a lot of time on this so yeah lol.
