    Can a father sign over his rights just to get out of child support an does the mother even have a say at all about him signing his rights away

    No he cannot, he can not sign over his rights to get out of child support even if the mother agrees.

    There is this myth that a parent can just sign away their rights. But its just a myth. If he is the father he will be required to pay support if the courts order and they WILL so order.
