How was the old switch connected?

Heritage fans are JUNK I say replace it with a Hunter.

Is it the light or fan chain that broke?

It is the chain for the fan

So why is the LIGHT not working, then?

I want to wire my fan without the remote hooked up. Remote quit working

Does the fan have pullchains?
