Main breaker trips when dryer runs and dryer is hot to touch?
Strange>>>>short version>>> the main breaker trips by itself... in the past everything could run in house fine but lately it seems that it would trip when heater or ac were running same time as dryer... However last night everything was off but dryer and it tripped main again... But did notice top of dryer was pretty hot... main breaker is not hot to touch... ran dryer in the morning and load ran for 35 minutes to complete and dryer felt normal to touch... Have had service over years to look at box due to ez loss of power in house with storms suggestions conerns?

Do you mean the primary or main breaker for the entire panel or just the circuit breaker for this one branch?

My suggestion is to call in an electrician to check the Main Breaker and panel and replace if necessary. This is not a DIY project.

Ballenge>>>>>>it is the main breaker on the panel which trips... not the individual circuit... and the nothing seems hot nor smell around the main panel>>>>not sure if its just a dryer problem or main breaker issue or something else
