My puppy dante is about 4 months old. I haven't had the money 2 get him his shots yet. I know that's bad but there's just no money left over. Anyway he's been having really bad gas latley, like could clear a room.. lol. I was wondering if this is normal or may it be the food he's eating or what? I'm feeding him good food so what's causing it?:(

My dog gets gas bad when she eats the least little people food. We quit giving her people food for almost a year and then the other day when I couldn't get to the store to buy dog feed we fed her scraps of people food, not a lot, and she had gas really bad again.
I like buying the alpo because it seems to be a better quality than the cheaper brands and doesn't cost as much as the better brands. I also try to buy her the better brands when I can find them on sale for around the price of the alpo.
The cheap brands aren't good for dogs either. They seem to get bad health younger because they don't have a good balanced nutrition.

Some dogs are worse than others, and problems are more common in such breeds as bull dogs. Sometimes you can work around it by changing food. If money is tight, you would do better to be feeding a less expensive chow such as regular Purina and getting the puppy its shots. Dogs do fine on all the major brands. They may even be OK on the store brand stuff. At 4 months you could also switch to an adult chow which would be cheaper. It would slow the puppy's growth, but that is better for the larger breeds anyhow.

I once worked around the problem by switching the dog's meal time to bed time. By the next morning, he was fit to be around.
