    Whining problem... help!
I have just recently received a scotty-beagle mix puppy and I'm very frustrated with her. I can't figure out how to stop her from whining while I'm not with her. She needs human contact 24/7 it seems like and I have to go to work. Can some please give me some pointers. I have her in her kennel with blankets, food, water, toys, etc. everything to keep her comfortable and entertained. This is my first puppy and I love her dearly but I'm at my wits end.

    Hi, bored,
    Congratulations on your first puppy.
It's nothing new for a puppy to whine, and want attention, and want you to be with her.
Here is a link about whining, with some good info on what to do:

I do hope you have a Vet, and have checked with him/her about shots, and how you should keep them up. Best wishes to you and her.

Try making a video of yourself and play it for her while you are gone. I would also leave a radio on so they think someone is home with them. You could also try putting a piece of clothing that has your sent on it in their bed. Good luck!
