    Dogs and flexeril
Can dogs take flexeril? My 12 yr old poodle is in some type of pain. She's arching her back. Someone suggested asprin and glucosamine. I was reading another post and someone suggested muscle relaxers to another pet owner... just looking for some educated advice from experienced dogg owners or a vet.

    Thanks,

    A concerned mommie

    I would say no.

Go to the vet and get the medicine that is safe for dogs. Human medicines are way too dangerous.

    I would second that No.
Small dog+unknown dosage of muscle relaxer=high potential for trouble.
Take her to the vet, find the source of the pain and treat with medications that are formulated and dosed for dogs.

PLEASE stop posting the same question - I answered your other thread; here's the same question, leaving out the squealing in pain part and laying around.

She needs to see a Vet. If you want educated advice from a Vet find one who has examined your dog.

She's been part of your life for 12 years; she's in pain; you're a "concerned Mommy."

She needs help - and she needs it now.

I totally agree. You have no idea what is causing your dog's pain. Would you take a prescription drug meant for someone else? See a vet.
