Call the frontline cop. And ask if it is safe to use it on puppies.
I checked with our vet and was told not until they are at least 6 weeks of age can I dampen a cloth and just quickly go over them, however they are now 1 week old and the only thing he advised at this point was picking them off with a tweezers. IF anyone knows anything else it would be greatly appreciated... thanks for you help though ghostboy , unfortunately frontline is in the future cure
Keep them clean! :)
Not sure I understand jerry, you mean bathing the puppies. They are less than a week old. All of our dogs live 90% of the time in our house, they are continually bathed and we do all of our own grooming with clippers and dryers. So there is no way they could have picked this up at a groomers or kennel. I use frontline and also flea and tick generated shampoos and conditioners on them
I found this de flea shampoo at the petstore called natural chemistry de flea pet shampoo. Its for use on dogs, cats, puppies and kittens(including nursing animals) its really gentle and safe. The only precaution they have on the bottle is about maintaining normal body temps for puppies and kittens. It works great! You can see tehir full line of pet and home solutions at Natural Chemistry, Inc or call 1800-668-7760 to call the company direct for info or a pet store in your area that might carry it.
Hope this helps
