Start juicing fruits and veggies or buy those all natural smoothie drinks like bolthouse or odwalla. You don't need to force yourself to eat. Just make sure your getting some nutrients.

With my first child I had symptoms right from the start, in fact the first sign I got was when I was violently sick after dinner with friends. My period was barely a few days late but I had 'morning' sickness any time of day from then on for a good few weeks.

With my second child I had no feelings of being pregnant and suffered from bleeding intermittently. The Drs said what would be would be. Whenever I had the slightest bleed I decided to lie and rest - supposedly a bit of an old wives thing to do - but hey presto the bleeding would stop and I would just feel more pregnant. A few busy days running after my toddler and it would start again. Rest again. Stop again. This went on till about 3 months. Sex would also start it so we gave that up.

Apparently for the first 3 months or so the pregnancy is reliant on the mother's hormones to sustain it. After this time the placenta starts to make substances that help to protect the pregnancy. I guess this is why a lot of people feel the first 3 months are most tricky.

Those high levels of hormones you need to produce are what make you feel sick. Take as much care of yourself as possible and hopefully by 12 weeks or so things will settle.

By 14 weeks I was full of energy, eating happily, and sex was not a problem anymore, and went on to have a lovely healthy daughter.

I hope you are feeling much better soon.
