Can I still press charges on someone that stole a 2200$ stereo from me about 5 years ago? I still owe credit agency for this and need to get my debt cleared. I know who took it, I resided with them at the time and they admitted it to my face. I had police escort me back into the house and it was already gone. I was young and no stranger to the police, they did not take me seriously and refused to take my statement or proceed with any other actions. Anything I can do?
