I have to get a urine analysis for alcohol use. I used alcohol last Thursday; I had 4 glasses of wine. Is there any way that it could be detected in my urine today? Please answer as soon as possible. I am very scared.

4 days ago? Probably none left.
I am not an medical expert, so what I'm about to post is probably not true; you have nothing to worry about based on some expert and statistics I've read, which states that as soon as 6 to 7 hours after alcohol comsumption, your BAL will drop to 0 and there will be no trace of alcohol in your system at all. Based on that, I believe you will pass the test with flying colors. But again, I'm not an medical expert and I could be wrong.
Hi! Thank you so much for answering my post. I did some research and I thought I would pass that on to you because you have been so kind to answer my question. There is one test on the market that can detect alcohol in your system up to 80 hours after you ingest it. It is called the EtG test. EtG is a direct metabolite of alcohol (ethanol). Its presence in urine may be used to detect recent ethanol ingestion, even after ethanol is no longer measurable. The presence of EtG in urine is an indicator that ethanol was ingested and can be detected in urine for up to 80 hours after ingestion. EtG is only evident when ethanol is ingested and is not produced as a result of fermentation (which we all do.) Those tests have to be shipped to labs that are equipped to handle the test so it takes a few days to get the results. Then there is the mathematical calculation that you can use to decide if you have alcohol in your system. You have to know your BAC, and when you do, you take that number and divided it by 0.15 (which is the rate at which alcohol leaves your system.) So if you have a blood alcohol level of 0.02, you take 0.02 and divide it by 0.15 and you get .13 or 13.33. That means it takes 13.33 hours before alcohol is not in your system anymore. Does that make sense? I hope so. Anyway, that's about all I know for now. Please pass this information on if you want to. BTW Redwood Toxicology labs test for the presence of EtG so my sample was shipped off today. I called them and asked about their test; they were very careful to say that the test is accurate "up to" 80 hours after you ingest alcohol. So it sounded like the time frame is a bit sketchy at best. I think God had a hand in my world because it had been 90 hours since I ingested alcohol. Believe me when I tell you I am so grateful. Have a really good day. S

Hello Sherry5, I have recently found myself in a very similar position, and just out of curiosity I was wondering if you in fact did pass the urine test? Thank you very much for the information
She has not been back to update us.
Someone told me that they have a test that can detect alcohol in your system 30 days after you have drank. Is this true?
