    Criminal Summons Canada
If I was given a letter that states that a criminal summons will be obtained by the Police what does that mean? The police were not called at the time of the incident. I was given this from the security guard at the store? Does that mean I WILL be chared by the Police? Any help would be great!

It sounds like the store means to prosecute you.

A summons is an official notice telling you when and where to appear in court to answer to a criminal charge. If you fail to appear in court, a warrant may be issued for your arrest.

I am in same situation, want to know if you did receive summons in mail even when police were not called.
    Please advise

Probably not if she hasn't been back in over a year - perhaps someone will answer you on one of your other threads.
