    Missouri tax coin
I have a coin about the size of a nickel that says Missouri sales tax receipt. It has a picture of the state in the middle of the coin and the # 1 in the middle of the picture.
This came from some stuff I have from a g grand parent so is pretty old. Any one have any idea when it was issued?

This is NOT a tax question, but rather an antique, collectible or rare coin question.

Recommend you post the question to the correct forum.

It looks like there are a number of those types of coins that are for sale and/or displayed on various sites. If you click on the following searches, you might be likely to find one that looks like the one that you have and perhaps there will be some information also about when it was issued.

These tokens were used from about 1935 to the 1960's. They were used as change for paying exact change for sales tax. Thewy were valied in mills, that is 1/1000 of a dollar or 1/10 of a cent. Most have a collector value of about a dollar.
