    Kudos scratched tail
I woke up to blood at the computer area and on the floor. So scared as I had no clue what happened as I usually wake up when the pets get in their small scraps.
We checked over the cats and seen nothing and then when I noticed more blood in the window where kudos sits I got hubby to check more closely on him.

His tail has a scratch on it. He is acting normally even playing and being a pain in the butt. It is about an inch long towards the end of his tail. After sitting down and thinking about it we figure he did it himself as he likes to sit on the back of the computer chair and play with his tail (rather roughly in my opinion).

I don't feel this needs a vet we will keep an eye on it. What can we do for the tail? Do we only keep it clean by washing it or can we put polysporin on it? Hubby has thought he heard it was all right for cats but I want to be sure. I have told him not to do anything until I hear back.

Of course any questions please ask and I will answer as soon as possible.

No topical antibiotics. This may, however, develop into what vets call 'cat scratch fever' usually contracted from cuts when fighting. Symptoms are fever, not eating. You could try keeping it clean but cats have very dirty nails and no antibodies as in canine mouths.

If you notice it superating then go to vet immediately. It is a septic condition

Tickle I tried looking up that word at dictionary.com but they can't find the word. I am thinking there is a spelling mistake (autocorrect I will blame ). Please let me know so I need to know what to watch for.
