1987 Honda accord lxi cranks but no start
Fuel system OK,ignition coil checked OK but noticed a weak tiny yellow spark from the spark plug cables if placed near the ground while cranking the engine.I removed the ignitor and checked for ohms continuity. The repair manual book says short 2 terminals w/ a jumper wire, set ohmeter to x100 and probe 2 other remaining terminals for continuity. The repair manual continue to say that there should be a continuity in one direction but not the other.I got a reading in one direction,However the reading was 26kOhms (if meter set to 20KOhm range),well beyond the limits of x100 ohm setting suggested in the repair manual.Does this mean I have a bad ignitor?
Ignitor--NEC, MC-5357, AK901,Taken off from Denso Distributor.
