Bug bites can be healed with an antibiotic cream or local antiseptic lotion. Other medications, including an oral antihistamine for itching, such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl), and/or pain medications, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, may also help. More extensive local reactions may sometimes require a short course of oral corticosteroids. If the sores don't heal, please consult your doctor.
Thanks so much, does the corticosteriod cream prompte faster healing, also which is a good one to buy, and can I get it at the store, Thanks again!
Cortizone 10, available from WalMart.
You're welcome. Corticosteroids may be used to treat the itching and swelling associated with insect bites and stings. You will find it at most pharmacies. Ask your doctor if topical corticosteroids is right for your daughter.
