It depends if the darkening is a result of a fungus or some other condition. Is your clothing rubbing and causing it? Do you know of any causes for the darkening?

It started when I had my first menstruation.. I also try to apply some product but I think it worsen the condition.. I could say that I don't have any fungus..

Maybe you're allergic to something you wear during those times? Maybe it's a hormonal thing... Probably better go to a doctor to find out.

Thanks for your advice, but I'm shy to consult a doctor that's why I'm asking help from this site.. Is there any drugs or cream I can apply.. I think one of the reason is my undergarment because I usually use tight clothing and I'm quite chubby so when I walk it usually rub especially when I am wearing skirt.

The dark discolorations on your inner thighs could be a genetic factor, or may be caused by friction. Please try to consult with a dermatologist for a treatment option that's right for you. If you're too shy to see a doctor, there are over-the-counter skin lightening creams that may help fade them. Look for a cream containing kojic acid, glycolic acid, or 2% hydroquinone. These ingredients are known to lighten skin discolorations. Apply the cream to the dark areas twice a day for 1-3 months for results.

I have the same problem too, its like dark brown and the skin is not smooth and slightly more sensitive than other parts. But it doesn't itch or anything, so I don't think its fungus infection. I've had this discoloration for more than 7 years and it definitely affects my self-esteem as I dare not wear any revealing outfit like swim suit or bikini. Its depressing and I haven't told anyone about it. I really hope its normal. :(

    Hi,
Do You Think That Cream Would Work For Discoloration On The Neck Or Not...

Sounds like a condition called 'Acanthosis Nigricans' which is caused by insulin resistance. In some overweight people the cells of the body become resistant to insulin and the excess spills over into the skin causing the darkening you described -- between the thighs, under the breasts, in the folds of arms, around the neck and other parts of the body that rub together. It is believed that losing weight will cure this. Cutting down on carbohydrates and exercising for 50 minutes per day, should reverse this condition. It takes time and effort, but you'll also be preventing diabetes and cardiovascular disease in the process.
