I want to get adopted so I can go and live with another family instead of my own. My parents are always yelling at me putting way too much stress on me and they are way to strict I can never hang out with my friends and me and my mom get in an argument every day and my dad always gets mad at both of us. The only one I love out of my family is my brother and I need to get adopted I can not stand another day with my family. Please someone tell me where I can sign up to get adopted I know I need my parents to agree to this but I am pretty sure they will agree with me and sign it. Once again please help me out and tell me where I can call or someplace I can go to. Thanks.

Is there an adult you CAN talk to? A school counselor, or a church official?

I doubt your parents are yelling at you and being strict because they don't love you.

Maybe it's a communication problem? Would family counseling possibly help?

The odds of an older child getting adopted are pretty slim, hon. At best, you can probably get someone other than your parents to have guardianship--but that usually works if there is another family member to go to (grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc). What COULD happen is that you go into foster care--but that doesn't mean your situation would get better, necessarily.

Yes, first it does not work that way, if you are abused, you can call CPS.

But why are they yelling , often it is because they love you and are worring about some behavior issue

I Feel The Same Way ! They Always Are Beating Me and I always have to have a Harsh Punishment ! If any of my older Or younger Brother Do something Wrong I have to take the Pain For Them... I have Been Looking For A Way To Get Out of My house.. And If I can Find A way... The Only Choice I HAve Is to Run Away...

You have other choices--including contacting Child Protective Services in your area and talking to a school counselor.
