Im 28 now I grew up on a farm I have done volunteer work at animal shelters, worked for animal daycares and have always wanted to work with animals especially exotic animals as a career but have never had the money to go to college. I don't know how to even get started. What would I need to do to get the ball rolling? What are good colleges for that particular study? How would I apply for college loans or grants or anything of that nature for a field and exotic animals? I really don't know anything so any information would help!

What state/ country are you located in?

First study all the zoos online (are you in the US)?
Decide which one you like the best, and find out the cost of living around that area.
Some websites might even have a jobs link at the bottom of the page.
San Diego Zoo is HUGE.
I wouldn't say it's cheap to live around there, but check out some roommate ads online.
Get a job first, and go to college second, in a year or two.
You can research scholarships that might be specifically for people like you.
It's amazing how many 'hidden' scholarships there are out there, just waiting.
The college itself isn't as important as how it fits your needs for location and size and ability to get tuition.
'Work with exotic animals' is not so much a field of study at the college level.
Biology would be your undergrad degree, and you could go on to be a vet or work on a PhD.
Plenty of people work with exotic animals who never went to college, either through growing up in a certain family, through rising up through job ranks, or volunteer work.
